Getting to Copán from La Ceiba
The trip from La Ceiba to Copán Ruinas takes about 6 to 7 hours through San Pedro Sula. From San Pedro Sula Airport it is about 3 hours. Our shuttles and private transfers drop you in the town of Copán Ruinas, a short walk from the archaeological park.
Why visit Copán
Copán is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the great cities of the ancient Maya, famous for its carved stelae, the Hieroglyphic Stairway and its sculpture museum. Nearby you can visit the Macaw Mountain bird park, hot springs and coffee farms. Copán is also the best stopover on the way to Antigua Guatemala.
